A Miami jury entered a verdict in favour of Miami seafood importer Perla Del Caribe against DYC Fishing Ltd owned by Frank Cox of Kingston, Jamaica for the sum of US$1,034,111.54

MIAMI, USA -- A Miami jury entered a verdict in favour of Miami seafood importer Perla Del Caribe against DYC Fishing Ltd owned by Frank Cox of Kingston, Jamaica for the sum of US$1,034,111.54, based on an exclusive agreement between both parties, said attorneys,  Alfonso Perez and associate Miguel Lara.

Judge Marc Schumacher will enter a final judgment based on the jury verdict in the next couple of weeks after accumulated interest since 2002 is computed which attorneys Perez and Lara estimate will be a minimum of an additional $400,000.
The plaintiff, Perla Del Caribe, claimed DYC Fishing failed to distribute any of the profits made during the 2000-2001 conch season.The case had been in the Miami courts since 2002 where Cox had already lost appeals on two separate occasions.
